Frequently Asked Questions

Will our engagement and wedding day photos be edited?

All photos are processed with great care. Any good photographer knows that editing can be very time extensive and is the most crucial process in presenting the images to our clients. Everything from skin retouching, colour correction, exposure/ white balance adjustments and black and white conversion when appropriate. Our team has the experience and resources to take a good photo and make it a great one to share.

Are we guaranteed a fixed number of images from our engagement and wedding day?

Quality over quantity ALWAYS. The final count of images is dependent on a number of factors such as the size of the wedding party, number of guests and locations, and the time it may take between set locations. All weddings come with their differences and pose unique challenges but with our team we can assure you that we will capture everything from the getting ready, the first look, in between candids and the wild reception party.

How will we be receiving our photos and when can we expect them?

Typically, our turnaround times are between 1-2 months from the wedding date! You will have access to your images through an online gallery with exclusive access just for you.

Will we be needing a second photographer?

We highly recommend having a second photographer on your big day. One photographer alone can’t be in two places at once and with a second shooter supporting your primary shooter it allows for more complementary perspectives to your wedding day. This will allow for your primary to focus on capturing the love and bond you and your partner share – while the secondary is capturing the small details that sculpt the bigger picture and the special in between moments from your loved ones.

Can we set up a consultation prior to the wedding day?

We strongly encourage our clients to arrange for a consultation to touch base on a few things prior to the big day. We aim to deliver our clients with as much insight to their day as possible, we will walk you through how most wedding days progress photography-wise, and  give you a breakdown of how long it normally takes for each type of photo. We want our clients to know what to expect from our team of photographers and get a feel for how we work with our clients.  It’s important for our clients and staff to work as a team and be on the same page before your wedding day. We want to help you cultivate the perfect itinerary that will allow you to enjoy your day stress free.

Unanswered Questions?

Do you offer customer packages for elopements/destination weddings?

Of course! No two weddings are identical – we can accommodate according to the needs of your special day. Let us know where you’re going and we’ll promptly draft up a quote for you.

How far in advance should we book?

Ideally, on average most couples reserve a year in advance to allow them the freedom in selecting their date of choice. Summer is our peak season so we limit the number of weddings that we take on each year to ensure that we have more than enough time to focus on each one wedding and not have to rush through anyone’s photos. In order to ensure your date is available we recommend booking as soon as you are set on a specific date.

Do we have to pay a wedding retainer first to reserve our date?

Yes! You must pay your retainer first before your date can be reserved.

Are there any details you need to know before the wedding?

Upon booking with us we will be sending out a questionnaire to our clients to revise and complete before following up with a consultation, this can be done in person or over the phone, whatever works best for you. We can chat and go over some key shots when formulating your personalized shot list and as the wedding approaches we will reach out and ask for further details in regards to finalized wedding preparations. Info such as the wedding itinerary, confirmation of wedding/locations address, photo restrictions or formal group shots.

Is it necessary to include an engagement shoot in our wedding package?

We encourage our clients to have an open minded approach to engagement shoots. They really are a blast and the best way to overcome being camera shy. It’s not easy being in front of the camera, we know, we’ve been there! So believe us when we say booking an engagement shoot is the best way to overcome any camera jitters. If you haven’t worked with a professional photographer, consider this the optimal way to get some practice before your big day. Having your engagement shoot done has its added benefits, our clients come out feeling more confident, reassured and ecstatic with their new engagement photos to share.
